Our company regularly use George Baker Shipping for imports, warehousing & UK distribution, the service they provide is prompt, accurate and efficient, all delivered by a well organised and exceptionally helpful team.
When I needed an urgent customs clearance, they cancelled my file last minute, and told me to use another company (in an email). Given the wording of their email, I assume they cancelled and would not help me as there was not enough profit in it for them.I had used their business a number of times before and the email was a complete shock and caused a very stressful situation. They left me in a very precarious position. They claim to be a family run business but evidence would suggest that really only want to deal with large companies where they can make the most profit. They are not interested in helping smaller businesses where the profit is not as much.They left my company last minute with no customs support, it was horrible experience and one I hope never happens to another small business or sole trader.
